Help required please...
I'm changing to Dexcom G6 sensor and Omnipod 5 in March 2024. I have the app my phone ready for the day however due to working 2 days a week within a "secure environment" I am not able to take my phone inside.
Does anyone have any experience of using the Dexcom G6 receiver ?
If you do, please let me know as I have a couple of questions I would like to ask. Thank you so much.
Dexcom and Insulet have agreed which system issues are best handled by each company, including which company is responsible for reporting those events to the appropriate regulatory authority.

The Omnipod® 5 must connect to the Dexcom G6 transmitter; use of a Dexcom medical receiver isn't supported for this automated insulin delivery system. You will need a smart device that is compatible with the Dexcom G6 app to set-up the connection between the Dexcom G6 CGM System and the Omnipod® 5 insulin delivery system.
Have you spoken to your omnipod and/or dexcom rep?
Thank you for your reply.
I think I'm getting confused with all of this, I don't understand why Dexcom say you can use both or just the receiver (not phone) if I can't connect the G6 and the omnipod 5 with it.
I'm beginning to think that might have to resign from my job as my health is more important.
