Dexcom G6 app and iOS updates

Dexcom G6/ iPhone users : Do you update iOS even when not officially tested as compatible by Dexcom ? I find Dexcom are always so far behind in testing the latest iOS. I was on iOS 12.1 and hadn’t updated in ages as the most current iOS update was never on the dexcom compatible list here in Australia but then I still kept getting messages in the g6 app that I was running an outdated iOS - can’t win either way
I updated today anyway to 14.6 and seems to work ok but very frustrating that dexcom testing is so far behind.
 
I always update my iPhone to latest iOS, mostly to have latest security fixes. Get a daily message that Dexcom is 'testing' latest iOS versions, fingers crossed so far my G6 is working fine through all updates, albeit the company hasn't committed that its software is compatible for at least the last two years...agreed frustrating!
 
It's OK even on v14.7

But does not currently work on ios 15
 
So far touch wood it's working ok for me, phew !
