I don't think I really need it but found it useful to look at directions bs was moving in. It reinforced what I believed the effect of certain foods would be but surprised me about the delayed effect of exercise. It consistently read differently from my blood meter. My reaction to it was interesting too. Whereas I think I am well controlled after 32 years with type 2 I found myself getting a bit paranoid about number checking. It wasn't good for me mentally.
