DEXCOM on prescription

Hi All,
So Dexcom is now available on prescription in the UK right? So why am I still being charged and my useless CCG is following old guidelines (ie not available)? Is it worth going through my GP for funding? Has anyone had any success to get switched to funded Dexcom sensors?
£159 a month is a lot!

Dexcom has been available on prescription for a long time.
However, not everyone with diabetes can have them.
The NICE guidelines changed recently. However
- these are only GUIDELINES not rules
- they RECOMMEND rtCGM (e.g. Dexcom) OR fCGM (e,g. Libre) should be available to everyone treated with insulin
- this is recent and CCGs were not suddenly given a pot of money to fund all these CGMs
- typically, funding for CGMs has come from diabetes clinics NOT GPs.
