Hi can anyone help my little boy is wearing a dexcom sensor and we are off on holiday Friday. Is he ok to go through the metal detector in airport? And if not what do I say? Do I need a letter to say he can't?

Thanks for all your help in advance :)

Hi @Jaxx13. He is fine to go through any of the scanners with the dexcom, I fly a few times a month. The sensor doesn't set it off, although they may detect it and, occasionally ask to see it, but usually, once I explain it is a medical sensor, steer clear in fear of "hurting me" or damaging it.
Pumps are different, but there are a couple of threads on this subject elsewhere.
I just pop the receiver through the baggage xray, and walk through the sensor without saying anything. There is no motor that can be damaged by the scanners. I only politely mention it if they ask to do a pat down and have had no problems so far.
