IF you can't use that, then there's also DIY systems available now and the 670G will be coming shortly to an NHS hospital near you. Although whether you'd get funded CGM is a different question. This would be the only reason I move to a pump frm MDI's. SOunds very promising lets hope if its not funded that it is affordable as it would help in daily life for sure.

Well, you can always identify trends that you are handling because you have dexcom, and demand that you're put forward for a pump as a result....and therein lies the rub. I can just about afford my Dexcom, which is fine as it does a great job, but there's no way I could afford a pump as well. There's no way, with good control using MDI, that a pump would be offered.
Saying that, I do love seeing the progress made in this field.
Diabeloop is already approved.Great news - terrible name though!
Surely, they'll start to appear in the UK soon. Any news on whether these systems are to be approved any time soon?
Great! Any thoughts on when we can expect to see these systems in general use in the UK?Diabeloop is already approved.
What do you mean? This would be the only reason I move to a pump frm MDI's.
I mean from a personal stand point view of having it constantly attached. The only reason I would get the pump is if it had automated dosing of insulin, as doing it manually I would rather inject a few times a day. What do you mean?
There are many reasons to move from MDI to a pump as the pump allow variable basal.
I felt similar to you until I tried out a pump.I mean from a personal stand point view of having it constantly attached. The only reason I would get the pump is if it had automated dosing of insulin, as doing it manually I would rather inject a few times a day.
