Diabetes advice for children as per Warner Brothers?!

not sure how I feel about this but whilst having Boomerang inflicted upon me, the following cartoon appeared. I have to say, I did a bit of a double take! Progress?
 
Don't know about progress, but at least the pre-diabetic Daffy wasn't overweight!

lol staying on topic.
I found that Bugs Bunny vid not only reminded me of the Benny Hill song promotional video. But put me in mind of the "healthy eating initiative" at my village junior school back in 1976 when i started autumn term as newly diagnosed T1.. Though the sugar content issue was manly drawing attention against tooth decay more than anything else at that time..

Though i appreciate the sentiment behind the Bugs Bunny vid. Overall I felt the D gag an ill informed cheap shot...;)

Kind of echos my own belief! Oatmeal? Fruit? :banghead: Even my daughters trotted out the immortal line but mummy oatmeal is sugar and sos fruit! I have them well trained!:)
