Diabetes and Alzheimers!

Hi everyone, new on here,but is there anyone else who also has Alzheimer's and diabetes,if so how do you cope?
I am aware of what I am doing Alzheimers wise and on meds that help a lot. Have started with the Low carbs program, and believe it's helping,hope to avoid going on Insuline! After reading a lot on here about the program I have high hopes that I will succeed
I was Diabetic 3/4yrs ago, but also had thyroid probs once Thyroid was sorted,I no longer had Diabetes! But it has returned with a vengeance!
Since I started on low carbs just before Xmas levels have come down from around 10+ to 8.2 this morning,yippee!
Looking forward to "meeting many of you" Jeanie more hope of beating it than before!

Saw your post. I don't have Alzheimer's, but have been reading about it as a relative does, along with diabetes and other health conditions. You'll be much more widely read than me, but I was very interested to read book by Amy Berger, The Alzheimer's Antedote, who recommends low carbing for both diabetes and Alzheimer's. Author clearly states she is not a medical doctor, but really interesting content and lots of references to follow up.
