Hi Everyone, Although the foods on the deadly Nightshade category are recommended for those with arthritis...I have a nagging suspicion that high intakes of these ( I love tomatoes, aubergines and potatoes!) actually amke my joints worse. Anyone else experience this?

I find an overload of acidic foods, like tomoatoes, and in the old days before I was eating low carb, I was similarly afflicted by oranges.
The way to find out if you are impacted is to exclude the foods you suspect for a period of a couple of weeks, then add one thing at a time, at intervals of a couple of weeks, and see what happens.

An ideal exclusion diets revolves around white rice and bullion, but it is extreme and not for the feint hearted.

If you do choose to adopt an exclusion diet of any sort keep a close eye on your blood sugar levels, as some of the foods we are sensitive to can have a disproportionate impact on our bloods. Your insulin requirements could also change, so not an approach to take unless you are willing to put the monitoring time in.
