Diabetes and Bipolar

Just wondering if there are any people with bipolar on here who are on aripiprazole? I am a 17 year old type one diabetic and am struggling to keep my blood sugar under control since going on it... Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

I am type2 and have bipolar.
I am not on that but the bipolar meds I am on, are lowish doses because they are both well known for causing weight gain and higher blood levels.

I've been watching an online series on Thyroid disease and one statistic they quoted was that about 80% of people diagnosed as bipolar actually have undiagnosed hypothyroid or Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.

Might be worthwhile asking for a full thyroid panel (including thyroid antibodies) @sophiiehirst - since you already have one autoimmune condition in Type 1, it's even more likely that you could develop others.
