Can anyone tell me who has had Viagra and it hasn't worked and they have tried another medication which has worked and got a errection ?

I think there are some posters here who have used medications other than Viagra so will bump your post up for a reply.
Tell us about yourself and how you are managing your diabetes as sometimes if blood sugars are high then men do get problems of this nature.

Hi Raymond,
Welcome to the forum. Yeah unfortunately this is a common complication of having diabetes, especially if you have had it long term.
You haven't given too much information about yourself but I will tell you what I know.
There are a number of medications prescribed for this Viagra being just one. A lot of people believe these medications give you an erection independently without stimulation but they will not work unless you are in arousal or in the process of foreplay. It is only once you start to get aroused they take effect. You don't wander around all day with an erection half hour after taking one as some people think !
Viagra stays in the system for 4 hours only so you have to have the timing right regarding having sex with your partner or it will be no good. Viagra did not work for me but I was then prescribed Cialis (Tadalafil). This stays in the system for 36 hours so you have a much bigger window (among other things!) to play with.
Cialis works for me but the problem with these medications is that they can make sensitivity less which is actually what some of us want to improve due to nerve damage ! I mean what's the point in having a sword if you cant stab anything with it due to not being able to feel it in your hand!
For me Cialis works better than Viagra but it also leaves me with a bad head ache (the one on my shoulders!) There are others that might work also.
