Diabetes and Constipation

I have recently modified my diet, eating significantly less fry-ups and more fibre with a big reduction in daily calories. Previosly 29.2 BMI and moderately overweight being 5ft 6in tall and weight of 180 lbs. Until the spell of hot weather started I always enjoyed lean back bacon, fried egg, mushrooms, 2 fish fingers, occasional baked beans and a hash-brown. Mackerel, processed peas and powdered mash potato for dinnertime and a sandwich for tea. Since I cut out the full english breakfast and went on to 2 Weetabix or Corn Flakes or Shreddies, followed by an egg roll, I've lost a significant amount of weight and waist line reduced from 48 inch to 43 inch. No change in meds : 2 x 500 mg Metformin; 1 x Pioglitazone; 2 x Aspirin 75 mg; 1 x Gliclazide; Other meds for my Prostate and cardiovascular system. Would my big reduction in cooking oil intake account for constipation? Hoping to get an OTC med today to hopefully restart the bowels. Getting on for a week now and all I get is gas!Thanking you in advance for any useful advice

How much water do you drink? Make sure that you drink plenty of fluids especially if you increase your fibre intake and the resent hot weather.
