diabetes care in Sierra Leone

I do not have diabetes
I have just joined the global diabetes community foday. It is absolutey brilliant ! Thank you to all those involved in setting it up.

I am a health professional in the UK. I am volunteering my time to help set up diabetes facilities in Sierra Leone. The facilities available for diabetes care in the country are pretty non existent which is really hard for the people. Is there anyone out there who would be interested in helping to set up a support group for the Sierra Leonean community in Sierra Leone ? There are many in need of help and I feel that people with diabetes need to be heard for the situation to improve.

ya no prob i think a very good for all but must keep local we need so many but 1 central boddy

Hello there ! I totally agree with you. I am based in makeni. This is where we have set up the diabetes clinic. So initially we are looking for those with diabetes in and around makeni to contact re self support groups.we have been on local radio but no taker.

I agree with you 100pc.Thank you so much for your input.
I am based in Makeni. This is where we have started up our small diabetes clinic.
We had a live broadcast on radio Maria with lots of phone- ins.
It is clear that people are hungry for information and education. We are trying to put this together but we need help and support from the local community....
diabetes is becoming a huge problem.
I would be really happy to hear from you again,
 
What type of Food that people with diabetes should eat in Sierra Leone (Sierra Leonal Food )
