Hey all

I was wondering whether you record everything, for example, what you blood sugar numbers are, your insulin doses and food intake, excercise too? My nurse gave me a "home monitoring diary" however it only has room to put my insulin doses and my blood sugar readings, im sturggling with my sugar levels and insulin doses so want to begin recording EVERYTHING. I have been scowering the Internet for such a diary, or examples or one.. I have a blank notebook sitting here but would like examples, or wondered if there are any ready made ones available small enough to carry about in a hand bag.

Also interested in iphone apps that could allow this if anyone has any experiance with any of them.

Many thanks

I use the "My Lifestyle" function on here to record my blood glucose and weight.

It works for me, and is good to see how you are going with the graphs.

Give it a try!

ah! thanks... i'll have a look now...

it's funny i've searched all over the Internet, but not the place that's been a godsend to me!

i use GB glucose buddy on my iphone. which i found best app. it record your level on iphone and their server as well. its free. you can email and export history. good luck

I created my own table, printed onto both sides of A4 paper, with columns for date, day of week, time, blood glucose, 1 column for long acting dose, 1 column for short acting dose, food, activity, other / notes. While I don't necessarily need all the details, it helps when trying to explain life to clinic staff!

I just use a page a day diary to write everything into. Cheap and cheerful but effective.

I might switch to smart phone at some point though.

when i started the 4 injections i was like yourself. I kept a record of everything I bought a Day to a page diary, which is great as its got loads of room to write everything down and i could also show it to my dn who had all the information as to which foods worked for me and which ones didnt :d xx
