I am In a bit of a bad situation as I have travelled to my friends house some distance and that dreaded thing has happened, I have forgot my blood glucose meter. I had tried to get one in the local area through pharmacists and the NHS but no such luck. I was wondering of anyone had any advice as I have to spend the night without it, any help or suggestions would be appreciated p.s. I feel as if my bloods are high but don't want to correct because I fear I may have a hypo in my sleep.

Is there a hospital or medical clinic nearby that could have one? You could by some urine test strips (for glucose), they're not especially accurate though.

Yes but i wouldn't be able to get to it as I don't drive, I'm just concerned about going to sleep and not knowing my blood sugar, thank you for your help :)

It's a difficult one. Have you checked places like boots, sainsburys etc? They often have one. Otherwise where do you live? Maybe someone on the forum can help?
