Diabetes Expo 2017 in Melbourne Australia

This just popped up on my FB feed - http://campaign.diabetesvic.org.au/Expo.

The speakers look sort of OK, though one is just a GP local to me.

Not impressed with the food menu though, pita, sourdough, couscous, muffins, wraps, sushi. etc. There are a couple of salads though they are quite expensive.

Not sure that I will bother going

A couple of the fish dishes sound very nice, but it might be interesting to go, if I lived there, but that day is my birthday, so probably not.
You could email them with some other idea's of food ( price's as well) and what certain carbs can do to people with type 2 diabetes ? :)
 
I imagine Diabetes Victoria follows the same dietary guidelines as the rest of the Diabetes organisations in Australia - the high carb low fat nightmare that does nothing to help Type 2's control their blood glucose levels.
