Diabetes in Films and on TV

A couple of episodes of Prison Break, main character faked being a type 1 to get to know a certain doctor at the prison which was necessary for the whole plot to take place

Under the Dome had a T1 For some of Season 1, but the display was pretty inaccurate

Waterloo Road had an episode featuring a character with diabetes and an eating disorder who wasn't taking her insulin.
Hollyoaks had Dan a few years back as a t1, and now Jason.
Stacey in the Babysitters Club haha! In the film she goes hiking with her new bf and doesn't tell him she's diabetic then has a a bad hypo!
Katy on Emmerdale a few years ago who died from purposely putting herself into a diabetic coma iirc .

It wasn't Katy in Emmerdale there was one in Corrie though that stuffed herself full of sugar.
and last nights Emmerdale she's not diabetic she has an eating disorder but there is a diabetic it it and she is constantly drinking and never seems to have a problem with low blood sugars after dring alcohol. None of it is like it really is in the real world.

Anyone mention the the film "The next three days"?

Liam Neeson rescues his wife from prison after she's falsely accused of murdering her boss..
The wife is a T1 & the husband hatches an elaborate plot to fudge her hb1c results to look like DKA so she can wind up in hospital for an easier break out...
Meanwhile the cop who put her away is also chasing the husband when he discovers the escape plot, realises he may have made a mistake in his line of enquiry regarding the murder...

All rather silly really..!
