Just wondered if anyone had/knew of any decent looking diabetes awareness tattoos?

Ive been looking into it for a while but cannot find any to suit a male, they all seem to be female.

IMG_0199.JPG @iReloaded . I found lots on google search when I was looking to get my " diabetes tattoo ".
I have to admit I only wanted something plain, simple and to the point.
The Rod of Asclepius is the recognised medical symbol. I felt the most important part of the tattoo was the information I wanted to give, hence the very simplistic design

I often thought I ought to get one and then chickened out at the thought of the pain. Coward! The only time I ended up unconscious in A&E I came round to a voice telling me I had to wear something that indicated I had T1. I was wearing a medic alert: they just didn’t see it. Maybe the time has come . . .

I'm going to say it again... This is very very strange. Who would want to mark themselves with THAT, of all things...
It may just one time just be the difference between appropriate and fast treatment opposed inappropriate and delayed treatment.
That inappropriate or delayed treatment could easily lead to life changing complications for myself and family.
You more than most with all your constant doom and gloom posting should be able to understand that.
We both have THAT. Differnce is I'm living with it.

There's two tattoo parlours within 200 yards of me. I'm tempted to pop in and ask, "can you rattle this off for me?":

I'm not inked, probably never will be, but gotta admire the artistry which went into that number.

I didn't realise until consulting Dr Google that there's a few companies doing temporary "stick on" tattoos which last for about a week.

Could be useful in some situations. I'm tempted to get some just to wind my parents up - look, folks, I got inked!

Haha i might just do the same!

I think that would also allow me to see if i definitely did want to get it inked or not too

That’s a stunning piece of work. But a disposable Flexpen instead of a syringe would be hard for even my amazing tattoo artist to make look cool!

That is a nice piece of work. & pretty much sums up the summer of 76 for me.. Lol, I have a little ink. But booking a sitting along with work, the other commitments & the appointments these days?? :banghead:

The first responders who turn up to deal with his bad hypo will be so distracted by looking at the wings, snake and syringe, they'll probably miss the "Diabetic T1" bit!

I do have “Spirit of ‘76” tattooed on my inner arm...

Oddly, I noticed you studied in my home city of Bath too... (From another thread.) Queue the theme from the twighlight zone...

Have we rubbed shoulders in the tightly packed Hatchets, Salemander, or club Fusion..?

Hatchetts was my usual hangout, from 1992-7 - I’ll never forget Larry and the 50p pints of 12 Bore...

Blimey! Then you remember Ria &.Denise behind the bar upstairs... Lol, good ol' Larry.. My era. Started a fair few bands there!
Sold out I believe... Called the Raven now?
Michael Eavis's sister owned a restaurant opposite. Complained (ironically) about the noise when my outfit played there...

I do! Some very messy nights upstairs. I’ve not been back for a few years, it was still called Hatchetts last time I was in town, and was specialising in pies.
