Hi John - I don't take any diabetes meds, but I do take tablets for another condition, and really resent it. That said, I feel so much better now that other condition is is a better place than before I started on the medication.
To be honest, there is nothing to stop you asking your doctor if you can try a different type of treatment. All treatments should be joint efforts and with our agreement, but I'm sure they will want to know exactly what it is that is causing you to ask.
If your diabetes needs medication to treat it, then any injection therapy would be ongoing too, so it's just swapping one chore for another.
Could you share what it is that you find worst about it all, and someone might have some helpful suggestions?
What pills are you taking?
I did have injections but they were 2nd or 3rd line treatments as a supplement to pills. Or obviously insulin but that has its own set of issues and I don’t think doctors put you in that unless they absolutely have to
