diabetes nurse

When I was diagnosed I was underweight. the DN told me not to lose any more weight. after a while I was put on medication which made me gain weight. I kept pointing this out. The dr kept denying tha the medication had this effect and testing the thyroid - it was fine. i changed practices . the DN told me that my BMI had increased but seemed quite pleased about it.

I saw he dianbetologist in the hospital who told ne o lose a sone. I los two because i sarted low caring and ditched he meds causing he weifght gain.
Reverted o pre-diagnostic levels now and was old the other week that I was fine for now but not to lose any more weihgt.
the moral s - THE PATIENT IS ALWAYS WRONG.

My DN insists that there is no such thing as a slim T2. Some won't even believe the evidence of their own eyes.

Type 1 is different I lost a lot of weight by the time I was diagnosed but after a period of time with both my thyroid and my diabetes as well as the insulin i take daily I was told my consultant that It is hard for me to lose weight. So why is it made out to be the crime of the century when I am over weight it's demoralising cant wait to prove my point when I see my consultant in October and they find out I have lost two stone.
