Diabetes question

My blood sugar is usually high at the morning between 120&150 .during the day time and afternoon it is between 70 &90mg/dl .please tell me the reason.I have been taking gulvus med& diamicron since 5 years ago . Iam 60yrs old man.

The dawn effect or liver dump occurs early morning when the body produces hormones which tells the liver to release glucose into the bloodstream. That is why blood glucose is usually higher in the morning than before you go to bed the night before even though you have not eating anything in between.
