After I was diagnosed type 1, about 12 weeks ago, I decided to design some T-Shirts to cheer myself up a bit. People liked them and encouraged me to design more, so i ended up making a shop. The idea of the shop was not to make profit, but just to get people liking my shirts and wanting to wear them. Any profits I make have been donated to Diabetes UK or put back into the shop. I'm always greatful for feedback on my shirts and if anyone has any design ideas please let me know.

To check out the shop please visit DiabeTees T-Shirts and let me know what you think :D
Also check out our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter :D

Love the designs, they express just how I feel some days , but unfortunatly way too expensive for my budget :( . But good luck in your adventure :D

Hey thanks for the reply.

They could have been made a slight bit cheaper but it would compromise the quality of the printing on the shirts. Nearly all the designs are printed using flex plot printing which means they are super duper durable and colours won't fade over time. If i'd have gone for the cheaper option, digital printing, the quality is good to start with but the colours start to fade after the first few washes. So i decided for a £1 or 2 more to have the better quality which will last over time. Also there are less choices of apparel with digital direct printing. With the flex printing it also means customers can change the colour of the design to whatever they like, whereas digital direct, you just get the design in the original colour only, so this way offers more flexibility for customers, more choice as well as being better quality and I thought that was a better compromise for the few quid more.

Thanks for your feedback though, it is appreciated :D

Thanks for the positive feedback. Always nice to see people like them :D
Regarding the children's ones, if you look under the word 'shop' on the top left you'll see a drop down box for categories, you can choose the 'kids' section from there. Depending on the age/size of the children you could order the smallest adult sizes as well. If you need any more info regarding sizes, designs etc feel free to PM me. :)

They're very professional looking designs, the iPump ones are excellent, do you sell many?

Personally I wouldn't go around advertising that I'm a diabetic, I like that it's a hidden condition :)

Hey Dollyrocker,

Thanks for the input. I've sold quite a few of the iPump design and the feedback on them has been great!

I understand where you're coming from with not wanting to 'advertise' your diabetes and respect your opinion. Personally though, I want to help raise awareness of diabetes and like people to see me wearing the shirts and like it even more when people ask me questions because of it. It gives me a chance to help dispell some of the myths that are still so prevalent. For example, I've already had one person say to me "wow you have diabetes? but you're so thin? how does that work" to which i explained things and felt good that I had helped someone understand diabetes a little better. I know I'm not going to reach many people, but if I can cause some smiles, maybe help raise some awareness and help educate people a little, then I'm happy :D
