Hi Peeps,

I found out I had type 2 Diabetes six months ago.

I have manage to catch a virus infection, headache, shivers, and it seems to be taking me for ever to feel better.

I washed up and now feel shattered. Is this common.

I am also taking lemsips are these ok?
 
Lemsip contains sucrose (sugar), so not great. Better of just having a couple of paracetamol and a decongestant tablet
 
The tablets don't contain sugar, I took some earlier in the year. I had raised blood glucose levels but that was probably the infection rather than the drug.
Lemsip also contains pseudoephedrine which they say should be used with caution in people with diabetes , CVD< hypertension. So it's one of those you must ask the pharmacist about.
