diabetic blood readings or not

hello all
i tested today 2.5hours after eating
my reading was 5.5 ,this result is non diabetic in the approved level chart
so dont quite understand
non diabetic between 4and 5 befre meals and below 7 after
so why am i a type 2 on 3 metformin a day
can any one explain the glucose chart on this site

Hi! That chart isn't supposed to tell you if you're diabetic or not - it just shows the sort of readings classes of people would have. Difference between you (presumably diagnosed diabetic) and a non-diabetic is that they can eat anything and be at that level before and after eating, without metformin. If you scrapped the metformin and ate a baguette followed by a bottle of lucozade, you wouldn't have the readings you showed on your post, but a non-diabetic would (or very close to it)
