diabetic care in Shropshire/Oswestry UK

Can anybody tell me what the care is in Oswestry and around??? I am thinking of moving nearer to our daughter but receive good care here in Naseby UK, consisting of:

yearly digital eye photo
twice yearly diabetic clinic
51 test strips a month [takes me 2 actually..]Javascript:insertsmilie(':)')

Around here we have the diabetic retinopathy at the opticians, twice yearly diabetic clinics and I'm not sure of the test strips you're referring to. i get mine on a repeat prescription.

I hope this helps in some way, Oswestry isn't that far from me so I can't imagine it'd be much different.

Don't even think of coming to Lincoln if you're diabetic...this beautiful city has been around for centuries. But alas. despite one hrd working specialist nurse at the local hospital, they pay just lip service to the government's current ethos. Whilst other areas have 'walk in' centres, diabetes care in Lincolnshire is fragmented, poorly managed and grossly under resourced.
Of course there will be those who disagree, but there are gapping holes and poor facilities which I have encountered for years.
This puts unfair pressure on those dedicated within the field, which is showing strains!
