Before anyone answers setto, they're going to want to know why the
little man on the end is laughing at diabetic comas.
And I advise you to make the answer phenomenally good.
HI . I am new to the forum, I have been geting comas and they are very frightening. The doctors confirmed that I had diabetis about six months ago;I have type 2 and I am taking metforum tablets.
I went into a diabetic coma for about 2 days and then I was in intensive care for two weeks. This was only when I was newley diagnosed with diabetes though.
Now three years on I have stayed healthy and have luckily not stayed the night in a hospital since.

When you say you have been getting comas - how many have you had? That must be very frightening. I have only heard of people having them when first diagnosed, or if really ill. Do you know what has been the cause?
(A coma is defined as a prolonged period of unconsciousness).
HI Ivaduck. The doctors have not been able to diagnose what is causing them, but Ido have other complycatiIons, so I am on a lot of medication.I have blood test taken every two weeks, and I am seeing consultants at the hospitals reguarly ,so Iam hoping they will be able to find out what is causing them ,
iv never gone into a coma as of yet thank goodness. I've only been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes a month ago. it's startin to sink in with me now though.
When I was first diagnosed with diabetes, at 12, I didn't look after my condition - I'd skip injections, eat sweets, didn't do blood tests etc etc. despite having a diabetic father.
As a result, I ended up in 3 diabetic comas, due to hyperglycaemia. It was touch and go on all 3 that I'd survive. Happily, I did
