I am a french scientist specialized in the study of diabetes and during this year I am reading for a MBA intitulated “Marketing of Health”.

In that context, I have to do a report about the assumption of responsibility of the diabetic foot. In France, there exist networks of care including of general doctors, diabetologists, dietiticians, podologists, etc. I would like to know if these type of networks exist in the UK. :?: And if yes, if you have experience with this type of structures.
Thank you for your respons

And sorry if I don't "speak" very good english... I try!!

The structure for diabetic care in Glasgow (Scotland, UK) is as you described: general practitioners, specialists, dietitians and podiatrists. Every year my clinic holds an annual review of it's patients, at which time you are (among other things) examined by the in-clinic podiatrist.

I cannot speak for the rest of the UK, but I suspect it may not be quite as good in all areas. I say this based on the general standard of diabetic care that is reported on this forum.

And do not worry about your difficulty with the English language.

Despite studying French for four years in High School, I find it mostly impossible to speak - Je Suis Désolé!
