Maybe I am the lucky one, maybe another post code lottery, but my GP passed me T2 diagnosis onto my NHS Dentist. At my next check up my Dentist asked me about my medication and general health. She said that she would do additional checks on my gums and stressed the importance of good oral health to Diabetics. I have to say that my opitician is as effective and passes (after asking for my permission) the full details of my eye exam. At my 6 monthly check-up with the local surgery diabetic nurse we jointly discuss my health and diabetic condition based on all inputs. I nearly forgot that the Hampshire PCT also provides yearly retinal photography sessions. Am I just lucky? Rob49
