Diabetic Nurse/diatician

Diagnosed Type 1 eighteen months ago, and by and large happy with my treatment, but I am struggling to find a justification with the bi-monthly meetings with nurse or dietician, I have to take time of work do a round trip of 30 miles and invariably wait for half an hour or so before being seen, we seem to have got to the stage where they ask me how I am doing, I say Fine, we then discuss holidays or how they had a problem parking today and then I go...................Why cant these regular catch ups be via the telephone??

If your managing fine then ask to extend the appointments to 6, 9 or 12 monthly.
