diabetic nurse

i did ask the diabetic nurse about insulin and she said no like my gp said no
they both said insulin is for type1
 
Well to be frank ally, I'm not a type 1 and I'm on insulin and got there because either the tablets made me ill (Metformin) or the others didn't work for me (Gliclazide 80mg x 4 daily, max daily dose). Sounds to me like they're just trying to keep treatment primary care which saves them money rather than referring you to secondary treatment under a Consultant at a Hospital which costs them MONEY. Look at the NICE recommendations for Type II Diabetes and you'll find out more. I think you're being fobbed off by your practice nurse and your GP. Demand to be referred
