I decided to get a pair of Dr Comfort Diabetic sports shoes for Gym about 6 months ago, and they are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn.
I am thinking of getting some every day shoes and I see apart from Dr Comfort, I can also get some made by doc Price, that look very comfortable.
Also designed for diabetics
Does anyone else use diabetic shoes, and what brand do you prefer, or recommend ?

i never knew you could get diabetic shoes. in what way do they differ from ordinary shoes?

Generally they are a wider fit so dong "Pinch" your feet, and are well lined inside, so that there are no joins that could cause blisters, corns etc.
I heard about them from a podiatrist,
They are not cheap, but in South Africa if you have a good medical insurance they cover most of the cost.
From what ive seen Dr Comfort are the best known brand (on Google, Diabetic shoes):)

I buy Reiker or Hotter, they average bout £60 a pair but you get lots of wear from them and very comfortable. My nurse said as long as you wear leather, flatish and the right width they are fine but not to wear high heels or cheap shoes. I've also bought Sketchers for walking and they are very comfortable too

not diabetic but very comfortable in ice and snow ..
Viking Mens Arctic Light Wellington Boots

Hotters and sketchers , clarks shoes .
Do provide wider and half sized shoes .

Podiatry orthotics - can get involved if you
need and warrant special insoles or handmade shoes .
I have both these made for my tiny ankles and size 4.5 feet .

At your yearly diabetic foot screen test - this is the time
and ideal chance to discuss any of your feet concerns/worries .

Yes - orthotics can and do make diabetic footwear .
You will need assessing for this via the hospital .
