Hey, i've now been diagnosed for 10 years (almost to the day) and thought, 'why not try speaking to others about diabetes.' So if anyone wants to drop a message, feel free :)

No problem :) i have been on the pump for over a year and a half now, and finally got to grips with it (although still learning). If anyone has any questions, or are scared of taking the leap into something new, please feel free to speak about it here :) i will try to answer questions

I have to say i am one of those people who is afraid to take the leap onto a pump, i think its due to the fact that my sister had a bad experience on it once and ended up in hospital with ketoacidosis so it has made me a bit weary. Have your results improved since being on the pump? my hb is currently 7.1% (or 54 i think) and part of me is saying that isnt bad so do i really need to go on one, any advice/feedback from being on it would be great, thanks :-)

My advice would be, if it aint broke, why fix it? Before the pump, i had a severe case of ketoacidosis and that was one of a long lists of reasons as to why i changed. I think the pump has been a lot of hard work over the pst year and a bit, but now i am beginning to get the rewards :)

Thanks for your advise, those are my thoughts exactly but my diabetic team keep pushing and say it will make it easier and i could get even better results. I have never been in hospital as for long as i can remember due to my diabetes in the 32 years i have had it (i was only 10 months old when i was diagnosed so probably had a few admissions then lol) so my worst fear is ending up in hospital due to going on the pump which is supposed to improve things, not make them worse, ahh decisions decisions lol
