Socks sold as suitable for diabetics are non-binding and dont constrict the foot or leg to the extent that a normal sock may. This may help avoid foot ulcers and moisture which can lead to infection. I dont suffer from these things fortunately but i do get oedema which is a swelling in the lower leg if I have been on my feet a long time or sitting for long periods. If I'm wearing ordinary socks these press into my skin above the ankles. My chiropodist said it was important to avoid constricting the feet/legs so I thought some of these socks would be beneficial. They are in fact quite comfortable and the Lidle price was a fraction of others I have seen available through links on this site.
