Diabetic Sweets

No added sugar means that nothing extra has been added. This does not man there is no sugar in the first place. The clue is in the name - sweets!!
Artificial sweetners - the jury is still out on how carsinogenic some of these are.
I do eat 90% dark chocolate and I have seen 99% dark chocolate. At least this means that there is very little room left for the bad stuff. Lindt is n't cheap. I'm sure there are other brands, but there is always a sale on somewhere and anyway, a square or tow every now and then isn't going to break the bank
I have read a number of times on this web site, and it seems to be the general opinion that 'diabetic food' is a sales gimmik and should be avoided.
This has band wagon written all over it.
Stay strong, stay true and if that doesn't work - stay smug and eat you way around the sweet stuff.

It's best not to eat 'diabetic' sweets or biscuits.
They just make you want sweet stuff.
If I really need a fix I have 2 or 3 grapes.
Most of diabetic foods are hi carb aswell

One of these is all I take to satisfy my craving after a meal
Or one piece of 72 % dark chocolate

Hope the 90% stuff worked - give it time - It's an acquired taste. I like 'bitter' so it wasn't too bad, but I'm still working up the courage to jump to the 99% stuff. Then I will be totally hard core!

Aldi do some sugar free sweets in various flavours my husband has these as he doesn't like dark chocolate

HI yes I buy these all the time they do not interfere with my bg readings. From Aldi Dominion Sugar free sweets the cappuccino are delicious, as are the Rhubarb and Custard / the mint ones and the butterscotch ones are nice too.

How does the saying go? Too good to be true! Thank you....will consider trying them maybe once a year lol. I empathize with you @ExChocoholic i used to live on them! #staystrong
I'm the same with Macdonalds or Kentucky. Need to remind myself why I gave up going there. Resets the resolve.

The tip about dark choc is valid, but look for the 85% solids ones.
