diabetics and headaches

Who else suffers with headaches I find if my blood sugars are running low I get a blinding headaches with no amount of pain killers it stays for hours I get the arora and funny smell so it may be migranes anyone else suffer in pain

Sounds like migraine to me. I get them on a regular basis and you list the symptoms that starts mine off. I suggest you go to your GP and get it checked out.

No idea what triggers mine off but it's not low sugar levels...

When I was first diagnosed and for a few years after I use to get really bad headaches due to my bg swinging from high to low and vice versa, gp would put them down to 'diabetic headaches'.... and that was the end of it!

As my diabetes has stabilised I don't get headaches as much now, normally when they come they are stress-related through work or family matters.

Same here, when i first got diagnosed i was suffering from constant headaches for a couple of months. I dont get them any more though. No more than usual.
