Diabetics R Us

Y'know this jab that people (with T2) can have once per week, what is it called and is it intravenous or intramuscular? Not that I am considering it, it just drives me mad that I can't remember.

Thanks Antje. It was the Trulicity I couldn't remember. We don't hear much from members who use these weekly injections and I was wondering why.
No idea, as questions with 'why' are very hard to google. Google makes me look real knowledgable with questions like 'weekly injections diabetes' though, so I'm not complaining

Diabetes is NOT my friend today. It keeps trying to hypo, despite having taken less insulin than I normally do. Luckily I've been catching all the hypo's before getting symptoms, when only just under 4, but of course this happens on sensor-changing day (which means an hour of no data, and I only trust the data of the new sensor after some verifying finger sticks). I was also sailing (under motor) a ship through the busy Friesian channels and bridges while trying not to hypo without my sensor so it has been an interesting and very tiring day.
The good part was the absolutely lovely weather, I have been barefoot and wearing a t-shirt all day and even got a little sun burnt! And I got to eat 2 croissants in trying to keep my bg up but not too high instead of only half a croissant as a treat. My oldest dog got lucky as well. He doesn't see or hear very well anymore so he relies on his nose and thus was the first to find and steal the third croissant in my bag after I got home
The only thing left to do today is figuring out what to eat before bed to make sure not to go low tonight. So it might be I get to eat crisps as well! If I remember correctly from the last time I ate them, many moons ago, they make my bg go up about 5 hours after eating, perfectly coinciding with the time of night I tend to go lowest of the day.
All in all not a bad day, even with diabetes being very annoying!

TSB online banking is down, again! You'd think they'd be more careful after the last fiasco. Grrr!

Morning all

We held our Macmillan coffee morning at work yesterday - there was cake, lots of cake . Well, my cake eating exercise helped us to raise almost £600
We're going out for breakfast this morning and this evening we are taking some friends out for dinner 'cos we missed their wedding when we were on holiday. I will try and be better than yesterday

Have a good day.

H

Going to a birthday party tonight. the birthday cake cost £200 so going to be difficult to turn that down without offending some one, Me.
OMG, that would be irresistible for me.

Have fun at the party!
