Diabetics R Us

Morning all

Cold here this morning

Have a good day.

Just got back from Tesco where I did my cancelled weekly shop, I am extremely pleased I don't do that every week

We have never used on-line food deliveries. Big shop on Fridays in the supermarket, and fresh meat from butchers. I like to look at the fresh food before I choose. Provided we avoid the times when the old folk (and I'm 70!) that block the aisles with trolleys so they can gossip, and the parents with buggies/kids running amok, we have a fairly smooth ride.

I work full time so a weekly delivery is great. I still use the local shops for fresh foods cos most of them are very close to work.

I work full time and hubby works every other Saturday so we always have our shopping delivered on his Saturdays off so we have more time to ourselves.

Every time I have my prescription renewed for Azathioprine I have to have a blood test thats every eight weeks and was yesterday have had so many now I hardly notice it. But yesterday I think the phlebotomist's attitude was a little sharper than the needle he used.

Am I the only one stupid enough to postpone turning the heating on until they're really cold, only to find out that it doesn't work anymore? Worked fine when I turned it off six months ago

Been testing daughter's bloods daily over the last week or so so far Mysgr predicting HbA1c of just over 44 so possibly pre-diabetes. If so correctable with diet..

I fixed it! Not completely sure how, but it works! Not so important for me but a blessing for my old dog who's on painkillers again. Not sure what ails him, but clearly in some pain and limping a bit so I suspect it's simply old bones and joints. A bit of heating in the house might do him good

Not stupid at all......maybe a bit optimistic........I always run mine up at the end of August to check its working just before I book the boilers service........

Yup, you're clearly smarter than I am
Although I feel pretty smart at the moment now I've fixed the thing!

And so you should, I wouldn't know where to start with mine other than grab the phone and call the man.........
