Diabetics R Us

Hya folks. Just wondered if anyone has ever bought Sheridan Egyptian cotton towels? I've just ordered two as they are on offer, we go through a lot of towels in this house through loss at sports centres and generally becoming care worn quite quickly.

Good morning folks.

Well, it is weekend and our builders have 2 days off, so peace has been reinstated in the bluetit nest, but we still can't access our back garden with any degree of safety. Still, they have worked solidly for 8 hours each day this week and are doing a grand job.

What are you having done? Oh dear! No space for the otter? I shall do you a favour and take it off your hands, no charge. ;)

The otter and back garden itself is surviving - if the otter dies I will sue the builders. I can leave it to you in my will if you wish? :hilarious:
We bought the house in July with a very dilapidated home-made sun room attached to the back of the garage, which were both joined on the side of the house. The sun room has now gone and is being replaced with a proper extension that will become a breakfast room. The garage is being converted to living accommodation, incorporating a downstairs toilet etc. The garage doors will be replaced with a solid wall with big windows. The side of the garage was pebble dashed. This has all gone and will be replaced with K-Rend as will the extension. The floors in the garage and extension have to be raised to match the level of the rest of the house, thus avoiding the present steps. The whole of the patio at the side of the house and at the back is full of building machinery including a big digger, bags of sand, bags of cement, breeze blocks, thermo insulation and the patio flags they had to lift to do their work. They lifted a lot of flags as they had to re-direct existing drains and put some new ones in. It looks like the worst sort of builders yard.
The only casualties so far are a broken mug, a chipped flag stone, and some beautiful English wild marigolds in full flower that got squashed under discarded drain pipes and a bag of cement.

This afternoon we have managed to clear a less dangerous way to access the back garden itself, and also to extricate the green bin as I have been tidying up the front garden. Ness is now happy she has her garden back.

I bet you wished you hadn't asked. :)

Phwoar! I'd best leave it a few weeks before visiting then, eh? Hope it all goes smoothly.

Hi all. Alan's sister & BIL have been and gone so now relaxing. Hope you have all had a good weekend.

Sometimes facebook scares me. Especially when I mistakenly think I'm reading in a diabetes group and someone asks a question about some device but I see the picture first:

Morning all

The start of another week and forecast to be cold by the end of it.
We have a new lad starting in work today, fresh from uni so I will probably spend a lot of may day getting him sorted out.

Have a good day.

H :)
