Diacronal MR 30mg

I have been taking 4 tabs (the max allowed) of Diacronal each day for the last 3 years.plus 3 Metformin tabs. At my last check up 7 days, my hab1c was 52, or 7% which my diabetic doctor was very pleased with, and my bloods were perfect. I informed her that i was trying loose weight but nothing was happening. Imagine my suprise when she told me that its very difficult to loose weight whilst taking Diacronal. I decided to buy a fitbit, and im now exercising and walking more, my readings in the morning is6.4 mml , I decided to stop thismedication immediatly, and i will monitor my bllod glucose readings carefully. Ill let you know how i get on.

I think diacronal is another brand name for gliclizide which can cause weight gain of 5-7llb in some, but not all, people
