diagnosed type 2 - moving to insulin

Hi my name is Michelle and I've had diabetes type 2 and have recently started to inject with insulin as meteor in and gliclaside have failed to keep my blood sugars just before I started to inject my sugars were coming out between 20 and 32 the insulin has brought it Down to 8 to 11 which is a good start how many are for insulin? And how many have complications with insulin?
