Hi new to the site diagnosed in October last year was on diet only then in late December urgently made doctor appointment as I went very dizzy eyes blurred and felt very sick while watching tv lasted about 15 minutes and still felt sick the next morning. Went to see diabetic nurse said, had nothing to do with my diabetes as was not on any tablets. Took blood again and wait for results phone call from nurse few days later and advised that I should be put on metformin after speaking with doctor.

Hi tbird, hopefully metformin will help. Has your nurse or doc mentioned modifying your diet or have you tried this ? Do you check your own BG levels ? Good luck, Mo

Yer changed my diet and lost some weight also seemed happy with this at clinic. Have not been given anything to check my levels was thinking about buying my own.

So do you know why they want you to take metformin then ? Not trying to worry you, I take them too and relatively safe drug. Just wondered.

Just to control my levels more that's what I was told. After speaking with my doctor she said nothing to worry about as your sugar levels have gone down overall but would like me to start talking them.
