Hi i was diagnoised with type 2 in Jan 18, hba1c 88, done keto diet for 3 months sugar gone to 37 hba1c. started eating unhealthy again high carbs sugar etc 5 months later hba1c 29. confused tbh

Sounds like maybe your dodged a bullet, but if it were me...I would not be returning to a sugar-eating lifestyle. Who knows really...perhaps your first diagnosis was wrong? Perhaps your new one is wrong? Perhaps it is temporary?

I would also be confused. However, it is possible that either of those 2 HbA1cs were inaccurate for a multitude of reasons.
What sort of levels do you see when you self test before and after meals? (Assuming you test). If you don't test, I suggest you start, to be on the safe side. Your meter will show you if you deserve the low HbA1c or not.

in 2 hours window im always below 8 and my fasting is 5.5 to 6

An HbA1c of 29 is equivalent to an average of 5mmol/l. Is your daily average around 5mmol/l?

From a few small experiments I have made I know that I can eat more carbs now - almost 2 years from diagnosis and three stone lighter, but if I do I know that I will see weight gain.

I do really prefer to eat low carb foods rather than the 'healthy' option, and I also like to see that my waist is shrinking and my muscles are hardening up again - a few weeks of statins and Metformin and I was pulling myself up the stairs by the rails as my muscles just wailed and cried at any sort of stress.
