Type 1 Diet advice

Im a type 1 diabetic and im thinking starting a diet called the cereal diet and just wanted to know if anyone has tried this diet and if it is safe.

Cereals are high in carbs, so eat in moderation with proper carb counting. Take more raw veg, protein & fat.
