Is it normal for me to drink nearly two litre of diet coke in an hour? BG was normal.

Depends. If you do it every hour, then no. If you was very thirsty, no problem !

Not normal at all, it will rot guts as well as your teeth, if your excessively thirsty it could mean your bg levels are high.
