I have been troubled by my weight and fbs since the start of the year. Both have crept up inexorably, so that on 1 September, my weight was 77.3 kg , my fbs was 6.1 mmol/l and my ketones were 0.8 mmol/l.
I therefore decided to check everything I ate over the following week and revert to my standard keto diet, which is shown in my details.
The effects have been much greater than I expected, with the numbers today (7 September) 73.6, 4.6 and 2.8. Quite a difference in 7 days!
It all seems to be down to quantity creep, so that, although I was still eating the right foods in the correct proportions, I was just getting too much carbs and protein. I think my carbs were probably running at about 25 g/day, now back below 15 g/day. My metabolism does seem very sensitive to a number of inputs.
I don't intend to keep measuring every meal, but it is obviously worthwhile doing a periodic check.
