I am not a type 1 so I cannot speak from experience but I wondered why a type1 is worried about the diet only. Are you taking insulin?

You should eats lots of low gi foods every 2to 3 hours it speeds up your metabolism and retains energy our body has not changed much since we did a lot of grazing as hunter gathers make sure to gets lots of good quality protein fish eggs turkey chicken as well and good veg like broccoli not that all veg is not good but broccoli There are a multitude of reasons why broccoli remains of the most consumed vegetables among athletes and bodybuilders. For one, broccoli is filled with vitamins and minerals that aid with numerous processes and functions in the body. Broccoli contains considerable amounts chromium, the mineral that is essential for metabolizing carbohydrates, fats, and proteins and simultaneously controlling blood-sugar levels (insulin).

In addition to chromium, because it is so dense, the body can actually expend more calories utilizing and digesting the broccoli than its base calorie content. Simply put, you don't have to worry about the calories when you're putting down a large serving of broccoli. You're getting all the good stuff while your body burns calories.

I presume you have a strong back being a tree seurgon make sure ya keep it and if u can get to a gym focus on lots of back movements for at least a hour
