Can I ask, if you control your diabetes by diet only, how long have you been doing this? Also, if after controlling with diet alone you later went on to medication how long was it before you were given medication?

I controlled my diabetes using the G.I. diet for nearly 4 years. I then went onto medication, 2 x 500 mgms.of metformin. 18 months later I was able to go back to diet only.
