Having just had a blood test (fasting) as part of my on going treatment for high blood pressure, collesteral monitoring, I have been informed that my blood glucose level needs monitoring, as this could be early on set of diabetes. As I don`t know any thing about this condition could anyone let me know if a change in diet could help in the reduction of the glucose level. I have to have another fasting blood test in 6 months and have recently also given up smoking. Any helpful info would be most welcome.

Lowering intake of sugars and carbs will certainly help. Also, regular exercise helps, even just a walk.

Do you know what your result was?

Loosing weight will help if you need to.
It will also help with high blood pressure.

Do not take sugar, and am always careful in regard to carbs, also dog walk every day, so am at a bit of a loss to understand my results.
