Difference in readings

Has anyone else experienced the different readings on different meters, and does feeling ill make your sugars go up...i tested with omnicrom it said 12.8 and i had nothing to make it that high so checked with my codefree it said 9.0 ?

Patsy, yes! When I was first diagnosed I ended up with 3 metres (one from the Dr, one from hospital and a freebie from somewhere or other). I have checked at the same time with all 3 (experimenting) and the differences were between 1 and 3 mmol's difference. I tried again and it was the same and sometimes the same meter was the highest then the lowest, so even the same meter can differ.
