We are going to a family wedding in the Midlands and only see the family once a year.
we used to all enjoy a tipple when meeting up but since taking metformin I have not enjoyed being able to do this.
Being disabled and not taking part in the festivities of dancing etc I feel left out . would it really do much damage if I missed taking the metformin for around 5 days and then I could up to a point enjoy being with friends and family and relaxing.
any comments will be welcome . thank you
carole
I am type 2
metformin 3x daily
underactive thyroid
levothyroxin x 1 daily

I take 4 x 500mg metformin a day, and I still have a few drinks, as long as you don't drink to excess, I see no problem, BUT I AM BOUND TO BE CORRECTED

That is just my problem ,if I have only one drink while taking metformin I need to go to sleep and get a nasty headache. I do not normally get headaches so do not want to drink to be sociable and pay for it later. That is why I wondered if it would be terrible of me to miss out on the tablets for a few days. thank you for your reply.
